ABOUT THE SCHOOL
My name is Connor Ratcliffe and this is my blog for my year 8 rugby coaching at Lincoln Minster high school. Minster High School excels in rugby with being under 18’s and 15’s county champions and i hope with my help and coaching the under 14’s will be able to get to learn and grow as players during this coaching process.
Lincoln Minster School was formed in 1996 through a merger of the Cathedral School for Boys, St Joseph’s School for Girls and Stonefield House School. In 2011 St Mary’s Preparatory School merged to form the new Preparatory School of Lincoln Minster School. As part of the United Church Schools Trust (UCST), it has grown and developed to provide an excellent education for 900 pupils across three sites. (Lincoln Minster School. 2011).
Lincoln Minster High School is based on Lindum Road and has a very high GCSE success rate with 90% of students recieveing at least five grades A* to C in 2012.
In thier sporting events Minster are also very successful being district and county champions in a number of sports as well as having students represent Britain on a national level. Relating back to my placement they are county champions at rugby 7’s level and also appearing in the final of the county rugby cup at under 13’s level.
